A vibrant, whimsical Imari-style porcelain platter, this piece features the significant Japanese koi fish motif which represents perseverance, strength and success! The reds, oranges, and rust hand painted color combination accentuates a fluted body and scalloped rim design. Underneath are cobalt blue floral sprays that signify its age and are a hallmark of the well-known Arita porcelain producing region of Japan.
