While we don't source copper very often, this beautiful tray certainly caught our eye! In typical Middle Eastern culture, these larger trays served as a center piece of communal hospitality. They were used on low stands to act as a portable "table" for tea service or small meals. The carved patterns have special meanings — the central medallion symbolizes unity, infinity, and cosmic order as the interlocking botanicals surrounding the center represent the eternal, continuous nature of creation. A wonderful historical work of art that is both decorative and functional.
