Designed in the style of a traditional sake bottle, this antique vase features classic Imari ware colors -- dark blue underglaze, iron red overglaze, and gilt accents. Each fan and round shaped panel shows beautiful flowers, birds, ribbons, and botanical swirls to create a densely patterned surface. A slight textural feel to its bulbous base gives it additional old world interest. We love the motifs and their symbolism of good luck and celebration of nature. A very special piece of Japanese art!
